These Terms & Conditions apply to all services purchased from GDM Tuning via our website at gdmtuning.co.uk. By placing an order, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms in full.
1. About Us
GDM Tuning is a professional mobile ECU remapping and vehicle tuning service operating across the North East of England. We provide on-site remapping services at your location within our service area.

2. Our Services
GDM Tuning offers the following ECU remapping and vehicle modification services:
- Car Stage 1 Remap — Optimises engine fuelling, ignition timing, and boost pressure for increased BHP, torque, and fuel efficiency. No hardware modifications required. Suitable for petrol and diesel cars.
- Car Stage 2 Remap — Designed for vehicles with supporting hardware modifications (upgraded intake, exhaust, or intercooler). Extracts maximum power and torque from modified engines.
- Car Economy Remap — Tailored to reduce fuel consumption and lower running costs. Typical fuel savings of 8–15% MPG improvement depending on driving style and vehicle condition.
- Car DPF Software Delete — ECU remapped to fully disable DPF monitoring and remove associated fault codes. For off-road and motorsport use only. Physical DPF removal must be arranged separately by the customer.
- Car EGR Delete — ECU remapped to fully disable EGR operation, reducing carbon build-up and improving throttle response. For off-road and motorsport use only. Physical EGR blanking must be arranged separately.
- Car AdBlue Delete — ECU remapped to fully disable SCR/AdBlue system monitoring and remove associated fault codes. For off-road and motorsport use only. Physical component work must be arranged separately.
- Car Pop & Bang / Crackle Map — ECU remapped to produce exhaust pops and crackles on overrun. A performance exhaust must already be fitted. Recommended for track, show, or enthusiast use rather than daily driving.
- Car Speed Limiter Removal — ECU remapped to remove the manufacturer's speed limiter. For off-road and motorsport use only.
All services are delivered on-site at the customer's location within our service area. We do not operate a fixed workshop drop-off service.
3. Service Area
Our mobile remapping service is currently available to customers in the following postcode areas only: NE, SR, TS, DH, DL, TW. If your postcode does not begin with one of these prefixes, we are unable to offer this service at this time. Please contact us before placing an order if you are unsure.
4. Booking & Appointments
Once your order has been placed, a member of our team will be in touch to arrange a convenient appointment. Whilst every effort is made to complete your remap as soon as possible, during busy periods there may be a wait of up to 2 weeks.
5. Performance Gains & Expectations
Any quoted performance gains are estimated figures only and will vary from vehicle to vehicle depending on the condition, wear and tear of the engine and associated components. The remap will be carried out to achieve the best of each vehicle's individual capabilities, within safe factory parameters.
GDM Tuning cannot be held responsible for unrealistic expectations. Results will always reflect what the vehicle is safely and mechanically capable of delivering.
6. Vehicle Condition
By completing a purchase, the customer confirms and warrants that their vehicle is in a suitable mechanical condition for the service booked. If, upon inspection at the appointment, the vehicle is found to have pre-existing faults or visible issues — including but not limited to boost pipe leaks, air leaks, fault codes, or other mechanical defects — GDM Tuning reserves the right to decline to carry out the service and retain a £99.00 attendance and assessment fee. The remaining balance will be refunded.
7. Elective Service & Limitation of Liability
All GDM Tuning services are elective modifications chosen entirely at the customer's discretion. By purchasing any service, the customer acknowledges and agrees that:
- GDM Tuning accepts no responsibility whatsoever for any damage, failure, or deterioration of the vehicle, its engine, drivetrain, or any associated components arising from or connected to the service.
- The customer proceeds entirely at their own risk.
- It is the customer's sole responsibility to ensure their vehicle is in a suitable condition to receive the service prior to booking.
- GDM Tuning strongly recommends that the vehicle is serviced and mechanically sound before any work is carried out.
For off-road services (DPF Delete, EGR Delete, AdBlue Delete, Speed Limiter Removal), the customer additionally confirms that the vehicle will be used off-road only following the modification and accepts full legal responsibility for compliance with all applicable UK laws and regulations.
8. Insurance Obligations
ECU remapping and other vehicle modifications carried out by GDM Tuning may affect your motor insurance policy. It is the customer's sole responsibility to:
- Notify their motor insurer of any modifications made to their vehicle, including ECU remapping, prior to or immediately following the service being carried out.
- Ensure their vehicle remains fully insured and that their policy remains valid following any modification.
- Obtain written confirmation from their insurer that the modification is covered under their policy, where required.
Failure to inform your insurer of vehicle modifications may invalidate your motor insurance policy. GDM Tuning accepts no responsibility for any insurance-related consequences arising from modifications carried out under these terms.
9. Right of Withdrawal & Cancellation Policy
Your Right to Cancel (Right of Withdrawal)
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of placing it, without giving any reason, provided the service has not yet been carried out.
To exercise your right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision by a clear statement (e.g. by email or via our contact form) before the 14-day period has expired. You can use the following model cancellation statement:
"I hereby give notice that I cancel my contract for the following service: [service name], ordered on [date]. Name: [your name]. Address: [your address]."
If you cancel within the 14-day period and the service has not been performed, you will receive a full refund within 14 days of us receiving your cancellation notice.
Waiver of Right of Withdrawal — Services Already Performed
By placing an order and agreeing to these Terms & Conditions, you expressly request that GDM Tuning begins performing the service at the agreed appointment date. You acknowledge and agree that once the service has been fully performed, your right of withdrawal is lost, in accordance with Regulation 36(1) of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
Once the ECU remap or other service has been carried out, the full service charge becomes non-refundable, regardless of whether the customer is satisfied with the outcome. Dissatisfaction with results does not constitute grounds for a refund.
Appointment Cancellations
If you wish to cancel or reschedule your appointment, you must do so at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time. Late cancellations or no-shows will incur a £99.00 cancellation fee.
10. Refunds
Refunds are processed within 14 days of a valid cancellation or where GDM Tuning has declined to carry out the service (e.g. due to vehicle condition). Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used at checkout.
No refund will be issued once a service has been fully performed.
11. Delivery of Services
All services are delivered on-site at the customer's specified location within our service area. There is no physical delivery of goods. Appointment scheduling is confirmed via direct communication following your order.
12. Returns
As all services are digital ECU modifications carried out on-site, there are no physical goods to return. Where a remap is described as "fully reversible on request", this means GDM Tuning can restore the original ECU map at a subsequent appointment, subject to availability and any applicable service charge.
13. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. These terms do not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
14. Changes to These Terms
GDM Tuning reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The version published on our website at the time of your order will apply to that order.
