The EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve is one of the most problematic components on modern diesel engines. Over time it carbons up, causes rough running, reduces power, and can lead to expensive failures. An EGR delete removes it from the equation entirely — via the ECU map.

At GDM Tuning, we disable the EGR system cleanly through the software, eliminating the issues it causes without affecting anything else. The result is a smoother, more responsive engine that runs cooler and more reliably.

Please Note

We recommend fitting an EGR blanking plate alongside this service to prevent any mechanical issues with the valve itself — the ECU work alone is sufficient, but blanking is best practice. This modification may result in an MOT failure. GDM Tuning accepts no liability for use on public roads.
